Description

sakura
This model features a modified Tanto blade with a precision sharpened face. Modified Tanto Edge!

Want a blade that will serve as a discreet backup blade and also easily open packages and anything in between – this is your knife.

It is a solid full tang construction, slightly less than 1/8 “thick ~ hand-ground from 3V Metallurgical Metallurgy.

This high quality steel has properties that make it unique, it is excellent in strength and is widely recognized as an excellent performer – it has a good carbon content and higher chromium and vanadium content, which puts it at the top of the stainless steel category!

The blade has a dark stone finish and the spine has a unique hand-applied flint bristle texture.

Professional heat treatment provides a very respectable 61 on the Rockwell chart. Perfect High Flat Grinding & Razor Sharp Polished Edge!

The cool upgrade Cobble applied to this Example is the Mosaic Pins and the Mosaic Lined Strap Hole!

Thick G-10 scales with perimeter railings. This will provide a secure grip even in ideal conditions.

Custom size handle and shape melt in the palm of your hand. Slightly larger than a three-finger grip, it has a slim look and the thumb falls naturally to the spine where the clicky flint texture makes Double Duty like Thumb Ridges for added safety.

Complete with custom molded Concealex belt sheath.

This knife and scabbard represents one of the best value custom fixed blades on the market, built for quick access.

Slim, sleek, and capable as it is beautiful. The Sakura strikes the perfect balance between an ulitarian edc and a trustworthy backup blade for unpredictable circumstances.
The thin blade slices trough material like butter while the 3V gives the strenght to take beating like a much thicker blade.

This cool and unique ‘Sakura’ knife arrived quickly and safely to me – right across the world – in Australia! Great communication and service all the way. Most importantly – this fixed blade is an absolute beauty. The custom quality build and original design is so satisfying to me, and I have quite a few nice (MUCH more expensive!) custom knives. The Sakura feels so great in the hand, the attention to detail is amazing, AND it is the sharpest blade I have ever received straight out of the box. Thank you Cobbleblade. I’ll be back!

Beautiful knife! Overall I am very pleased with the Sakura. The knife got to me very quickly (even considering the current situation). The Sakura is a well made blade it hits all the marks for me. Its sleek design allows a lower profile than some of my bulkier fixed blades, with a good overall length that makes it practical for a variety of uses. A beautiful blade with nice finishing touches (engraving of the sakura flowers, decorative pins as well as the jimping on the back spine) and super sharp straight out of the box. I could not be happier! Highly recommended.

This is my second Cobble Blade – that alone says much. Material and craftmanship are first class – again.
My first Cobble Blade was the Interceptor – which I like very much, but it is not as slicey a knife as I prefer. ‘Nuff said, exit Interceptor, enter Sakura, left stage.
Let’s talk technical specs first: the blade length of my Sakura is 110mm, the thickness is 3mm. Of these 110mm, 101mm are sharp – scary sharp. In this discipline, the Sakura can compete with my Japanese semi-customs. The weight is 90g w/o the sheath (122g with the very well-made sheath). And the balance is perfect: when opening my hand, the Sakura levels perfectly on my index finger.
Ok, there is an entrance fee (you don’t get as low as 90g for a serious knife without an entrance fee): the Sakura is slim. If you have very big hands, you might feel uncomfortable with the handle. With big hands (I have glove size XL), it’s borderline to feeling unsubstantial. But for me it’s ok, the perfect balance compensates a lot. And don’t be fooled: we’re talking a SERIOUS knife here, even if it reads (and feels) like a lightweight. This is not an EDC that might work in in another theatre – this is a serious knife, that’s just small enough to carry EDC.
    I’m in love…
